What time is it now by your watch?Because I'm not sure...

Gender Gaps on the Brain
I found an article about our brain which might be usefull for our knowledge : Gender gaps on the brain :
Did you know that women's brains are smaller than men's? The average male brain weighs about 1.3 kgs, while the average female brain weighs ten percent less. Since research has consistently shown that the bigger the brain, the cleverer the animal, men must be more intelligent than women. Right?. Wrong. Men and women consistently score similarly on intelligence test, despite the difference in brain size. But the difference it's not just the size of the brain, it's what's inside that counts. The brain consists of 'grey matter' (the part of the brain that helps us think) and 'white matter' (the part that helps us transfer information). And while men have more of the latter, the amount of 'thinking' brain is almost exactly the same in both sexes.
It has been suggested that, in case of human brains, smaller may also mean 'more efficient' perhaps because the two sides of the brain appear to be better connected in women. This means that little girl tend to learn to speak earlier and adult women can absorb all sorts of information from different sources at the same time, making them more adept at multi-tasking. Men seem to do better tackling one job at the same time.
There are other important differences that distinguish male and female brains. White matter is the key to spatial tasks - knowing where things are relation to other things - and men consistently do better on this kind of exercise. 'Spatial abilities are a big part of sports,'says one researcher. 'A great soccer player, for instance, always knows where he is relation to other player. It's not just a question about muscle and speed, it's knowing where to go - also explains one of life's grat mysteries : why men refuse to ask for directions...and woman often need to.
In adult life, these brain differences are clearly reflected in the career choices men and women make. 85 percent of the architect in the USA and 90 percent mechanic are men, both jobs which require spatial skills. Meanwhile 94 percent of speech therapist are women.
The brain is not static. It changes throughout our lives according what we do with it.

Hi there..long time not see
It's been almost a month I didn't write in this blog. I think I am now busier than my husband especially this month. I have an english class everyday and I find it very helpful to improve my english. The class very colorful with people from different country. Most of them from Poland and Italy, but some from Libya, Russia, India and Algeria. Some of them I have known before because we was in the same class on last March. Today, we learn about mishap...a small accident, for example when you get lost, you left something at home or you locked your self outside.
The funny thing when we listened to a story about Bill, Frank and an old woman. It was happened in midnight, after christmas party, in the outside it was very dark that they can't see anything. The road was so slippery but they have to managed reach their car in the park, the only way to keep them warm. But because the slippery road they were swaying and for some reason they found it very funny and they laugh they head off and try to hold on each other. While they were walking suddenly the police car drew up , the police officer get out and shouting to them. Bill and Frank tried to explain but the police didn't listen to them. They bring them to the near police station. To be honest, Bill didn't remember too much but a few hours later he found himself in the police cell. On the other hand, the old lady story was very different. He told that it was about 1 pm in the morning and the sky was very clearly. She had gone to bed at ten, as usual, but she had to get up to go to the bathroom. As she was getting back into bed, she heard a noise from outside. From the window she could see clearly that there is two young man shouting, swearing and very aggresive which tried to steal a car, they obviously had been drinking. As soon as she realised what was going on, she called the police and the two young man jailed by the police. You could see the different between two story, couldn't you?And which story was true in your opinion?
It's just one of many stories telling by my teacher. And today one of the teacher have been interviewed me as they will reported it to their trainee, she asked me to writing about anything, so I will be posted after she have checked it for me.

The Message
"Waiting for phone call from wages department, will let you know as soon as i hear anything"
This message I received about 2 week ago when I've got some problem with my employer after I've been working for almost a month. My supervisor went mad with this such a problem because many staff faced the same. I couldn't understand about this at all, because the wages department must have enough time to process everything and put me on the system. But it's become a new experience for me particulary how to tackle some problem. Never let anybody tackle your problem and you just doing nothing even there are many barrier problem. I've been waiting and keep waiting until the answer is yes. And then another message I have received two days later "I have just received a call to let me know that you are on the system and money will go into the bank today" Thanks a lot for this message, eventually I got my payslip though after that I noticed something goes wrong with it and I have to wait another two weeks.

Skill and Love Gae Best
Pertama kali nyampe ke Glasgow dulu sempet shock dengan accent orang-orang sini yang Scottish banget, sebelumnya nggak kebayang sama sekali...ternyata susah dimengerti. Beberapa teman dari negara lain juga mengeluhkan hal serupa..susah nangkep omongannya...tapi lama-kelamaan coba mengerti..ternyata emang beda loh...walaupun merupakan bagian dari UK tetapi accent mereka beda banget..coba deh simak beberapa kata berikut yang aku baca dari buku tentang Scottish...
Skill and love gae best artinya when skill and love work together the result is perfection
Yer only here a wee while, so be nice artinya be quick to be kind, life is so short
He that spares to speak spares to speed artinya don't talk - act
Sebenarnya yang biasanya masih nggunain bahasa diatas adalah scottish granny, kalo orang-orang mudanya sih udah nggak, cuman aksennya itu tetep....scottish..Salah satu yang menarik dan khas banget adalah Great Highland Bagpipe atau disebut juga Great pipes.
ps : yer = you, aye =yes, dinna=dont

Belajar Main Tennis
Hari ini badanku sakit semua...setelah sekian tahun nggak pernah nglakuin apa yang namanya olahraga. Kemarin ceritanya bareng ama anak-anak PPI Glasgow main tennis.

Get the job

- Listening a little every day is better than not listening at all for long periods..ya pasti lah yach:)
- Don't expect to understand every word. Try to get the general sense of what people are saying. Don't panic if you 'lose' the sense of what you hear - keep listening nad try to pick it up again.
- You can usually get the sense by concentrating on the stressed words. Don't worry too much about the unstressed words (articles, prepositions, auxiliary verbs, etc)
- If you have access to TV programmes or films in the original English, try listening to them without looking the sub-titles and see how much you can understand. You can also download sound files from the internet or listen to the BBC world service.
- Listen to different varieties of English (British, American and Australian) to help get used to different accents and vocabulary. Also listen to the English spoken by people whose first language is not English .
- Read the first and last sentences of the paragraph carefully. They usually contain the most important information
- Skip over the words and phrases you don't know or can't guess immediately. You can come back later
- Try to summarise the three or four main points of what you have read after you have finished the text
- Read as much as you can in English - newspaper, graded reader, websites...anything! You wont improve you reading speed without practice!
Encyclopedia of Life

'Encyclopedia of Life (EOL), an electronic page for each species and organism on earth available everywhere by single on command. www.eol.org

I just kept in my heart and mind (I know this is wrong). She and I were being friends during more than six years. I thought this is enough time to get know somebody deeply. I am sure that she understands everything about me and me too. Up to now, I always think about her and love her. very much. Therefore, I always love her day by day, I can't survive without her. I will do everything for her. Please keep this in your mind if you read this.
I know God has given her to me..so I will keep her forever. Amen (PTPH).

First Time
I was surprised that the woman (who called me yesterday) didn't ask me to show my passport or some references. Tomorrow will be my first time to be involved in charity shop. and also my first debut to involved some activity with some local resident. I want to spare some of my time to help out this charity shop and duties will be helping to sort donations, assisting customer, creating window display, working on cash register and replacing stock. The shop located near subway and busy street, it's very strategic place...I wish I can find out how the shop organize...
We want to make our shop stand out in a busy street. We want people to see them as the place to go to find some interesting item with good quality and reasonable price..and to do this we need some volunteer..creative and energetic
but I would find soon about this tomorrow...and perhaps...some time forward we can do it in our country to help other people

Love One Another
Wives, submit to your husbands as the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church; He is the saviour of the body. Therefore, just as the church is subject to Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything.
Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himshelf for her, that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word, That He might present her ti Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wringkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish.
So husbands ought to love their own wives as their own bodies, he who loves his wife loves himshelf. For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as the Lord does the church. For we are members of His body, of His flesh nad of His bones. For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and two shall become one flesh.
This is a great mystery, but I speak concerning Christ and the church.
Nevertheless let each one of you in particular so love his own wife as himshelf, and let the wife see that she respects her husband.

Five ways to keep your brain healthy

- Eat Well, we all know the saying healthy body, healthy mind. Oily fish like salmon and tuna, along with fruit and vegetables, provide essential vitamins to keep your brain young and fit
- Exercises, regular exercise increases the circulation of blood to your brain, making it more efficient. If you haven't exercised regularly before, get your blood pressure checked to make sure your heart is healthy
- Exercise your brain too, just like your body, your brain needs to keep fit. Do crossword, read books. Test and develop your memory with special exercises
- Avoid stress, we all know that when we have too much to do we start forget things. Take breaks and make time to relax
- Get your hearing checked, hearing loss can seriously interfere with memory, so if you think you might have a problem, have your ears tested right now.
When I Say That I Love You
You feel that you lonely
It does'nt proof that you alone
You feel that nobody wants you
It does'nt mean that no one cares about you
Listen to the word I say
For I'll always by your side
You mean everything to me
and I'll never leave you cause I love you so
If you think that you nothing
before me you are something beautiful
You think that you can't do anything
But you can do a lot of thing with me
Listen to the word I say, that I will always by your side
You mean everything to me
and I will never leave you cause I love you so
When I say that I love you
It means I give the best for you
When I say that I love you
I will give everything for you
No More fear about the future
Blame for the past
I give everything when I say that I love you
It does'nt proof that you alone
You feel that nobody wants you
It does'nt mean that no one cares about you
Listen to the word I say
For I'll always by your side
You mean everything to me
